For passport advice, call 0300 222 0000 (calls to 0300 numbers are charged at your network provider's standard national rate). The line is open from 8.00am - 8.00pm Monday to Friday, and from 9.00am - 5.30pm weekends and public holidays.

For information on identity cards, call 0300 330 0000. The line is open from 8.00am - 8.00pm Monday to Friday, and from 9.00am - 5.30pm weekends and public holidays.

For advice on birth, marriage and death certificates, the General Register Office's main telephone advice number is 0845 603 7788, Monday to Friday 8.00am - 8.00pm, or Saturday 9.00am - 4.00pm.
