Experts Group Convener

Peter Whittle is a trained physicist with a track record in senior management at companies including ICI and Anglo American. More recently, he has led experts groups of climate scientists at the Met Office, helping to shape strategic direction.

On being appointed to the post of Experts Group Convener, Mr Whittle said: "I am delighted to be given this opportunity to contribute to the work of the IPS as Convenor of the Experts Group.

"The work of IPS is important, challenging and interesting, and I am very pleased to be in a position where I can influence that delivery for the benefit of Government, businesses and the public."
