How to pay for your identity card

If you are applying for an identity card at either our Manchester City Centre or Central London offices you can pay with:

• credit card or debit card (excluding all American Express cards)
• personal cheque with cheque guarantee card
• postal order
• cash

NB: your cheque or postal order should be made payable to 'Identity and Passport Service'.

Applying at an airport

If you are applying for an identity card at either our Manchester Airport or London City Airport offices, and you are required to pay for your identity card, then you can only pay with a credit card or debit card (excluding all American Express cards). If you would like to pay by other means then please re-book your appointment for our Manchester City or Central London office by calling 0300 330 0808.
