Sustainable development
The Identity and Passport Service consists of over 4000 people and 76 offices across the UK. It is important to society and our business that we control the effects of our work, and make every effort to decrease our impact on the environment.
Our Sustainable Development Action Plan outlines our aims, objectives, vision and what we are doing as an organisation to help protect the environment for future generations.
Our priorities are in line with the five main categories set out by the Government's National Action Plan:
- Energy consumption
- Water consumption
- Waste minimisation
- Sustainable travel
- Procurement
