Who we are
The Identity and Passport Service (IPS) is an Executive Agency of the Home Office and it incorporates the General Register Office (GRO). Working with the public and private sectors, we are transforming identity management and authentication in the UK.
What we do
Our people see to it that we regularly exceed our customer service performance targets and they enabled us to issue 5.3m passports in the last year. The scope of our work has grown since 2008 when we joined with the General Register Office; certificate issuing services and life event registrations are now a vital and growing aspect of our work.

Ar yr adegau prysuraf o'r flwyddyn, mae IPS yn cyflogi dros 4,000 o bobl yn y DU mewn saith swyddfa ranbarthol, 68 o swyddfeydd cyfweliadau, y GRO yn Southport a'n pencadlys yng nghanol Llundain. Mae gennym ddau fath o swyddfeydd pasportau sydd ar agor i'r cyhoedd: swyddfeydd rhanbarthol a swyddfeydd cyfweliadau.
