I want to apply for my first adult 10-year passport

What documents do I need?

We need to see original documents that prove you are British. We do not accept photocopies of documents or documents that have been laminated. We do however accept laminated documents for change of name purposes only.

Please note that a birth certificate is not absolute proof of identity, and even if you were born in the UK we may ask to see further documents.
