Post Office Check & Send service

What is the Check & Send service?

This service is provided by selected Post Office® branches. For a handling charge they will:

Passport applications sent via the Check & Send service are usually processed more quickly than standard postal applications. You can expect to receive your new passport in about two weeks. If however you are a first-time customer, you should allow up to six weeks for your passport to be issued. Applications sent via Check & Send are also much less likely to be returned and/or delayed because of queries.

Please note that Post Office branches can also offer the Check & Send service for application forms that were completed online.

If there is a mistake or oversight on the part of the Post Office, you may ask them for a refund of their handling charge. If you are entitled to a refund, they will refund only the Check & Send charge that you have paid. Neither we nor our partner will be responsible for any indirect or resulting loss you may have suffered, including (but not limited to) any loss of opportunity, profit, income or reputation.
