I want to replace my lost, stolen, or damaged passport

What should I do if my passport is damaged?

You do not need to report a damaged passport. However, if your passport is damaged beyond reasonable wear and tear, carriers may refuse to let you travel. For this reason we recommend that you apply for a replacement as soon as possible.

What documents do I need to replace my damaged passport?

If your passport has been damaged, defaced or altered, it will be returned to you once identity has been established and it has been confirmed that the damage is not due to fraudulent tampering.
