By road

From the north
Taking the M6 south, turn off at 'Preston New Road' junction (A677) following the signs to Blackburn centre. Take a left when you reach Barbara Castle Way. Once on Barbara Castle Way, take a right at Ainsworth Street. The offices are on the right hand side.
From the south
From the M6 south, follow the road north to Preston/Blackburn. Take the M6 M65 turn off and follow the signs to Blackburn/Burnley. Follow the exit to Blackburn S/Central. Once reached, take the fourth exit onto the A666 and take a right at Blackburn Road. Take a left at Livesey Branch Road then a right at Albion Road. Take a left at Darwen Street and bear left at Mincing Lane. Turn right at Mill Lane and continue along Jubilee Street. Turn left and head along Railway Road turning left onto Ainsworth Street.
From the west
- From the M65 west follow the signs to Blackburn/Burnley. Follow the exit to Blackburn S/Central. Once reached, take the fourth exit onto the A666 and take a right at Blackburn Road. Take a left at Livesey Branch Road then a right at Albion Road. Take a left at Darwen Street and turn left at Mincing Lane. Bear right at Mill Lane and continue along Jubilee Street. Turn left and head along Railway Road turning left onto Ainsworth Street.
From the east
From Burnley, enter onto the M65 to Accrington/ Blackburn/ Preston. Take the A678 exit to Central Blackburn. Once you have reached the A6119 take the second exit onto the A678. Once you reach the A678 junction, take the second turning onto Burnley Road and take a right at Accrington Road. Take a further left at Furthergate. Once you reach Higher Eanam take a right and once at the roundabout take the second exit onto Barbara Castle Way - turn left onto Ainsworth Street.

By Rail

Blackburn rail station is a 5 minute walk from the interview office. On leaving the station go straight ahead passing through Boulevard Bus Station, until you reach The White Bull Pub on the left hand side. At the traffic lights, continue ahead (Ainsworth Street) passing St John’s Tavern on the right, Post Office on the left. At the junction take the right fork, the interview office is a glass fronted building next to Connexions office and across from the Gala Bingo.

By Bus

Boulevard Bus Station is based at the railway station. Follow directions as above.

By Foot

St John's Court is on Ainsworth Street on the ground floor. The interview office is a glass fronted building next to Connexions office and across from the Gala Bingo. Please use the intercom to gain access.

Parking

There are no parking facilities at this office. The nearest car park is the Market Roof Top car park which is opposite the interview office on Brown Street. The parking is free for disabled blue badge holders. Alternative parking is available in the multi storey car park within the shopping precinct. Walking from here exit the car park and locate Woolworths, take the escalator in front of the store down to the lower level, exit the Mall onto Ainsworth Street, turn left, the Post Office is on your left. At the junction take the right hand fork.

Office Facilities

There is a wheelchair accessible entrance and a lift and disabled toilet in the building. Assistance can be requested via the intercom, if required.
