Children's passports can no longer be extended – you have to apply for a new passport after 5 years.
You can apply for an extension if you hold a restricted validity passport (one year or less). Please phone the 24-hour Passport Adviceline 0300 222 0000 (see terms and conditions) for more information. The premium (one-day) service is not available for passport extensions.
