If you are required to attend an office make sure you go to the correct office. Failure to do so could result in you missing your appointment and your application being delayed. This office is for first-time adult passport customers who are attending their passport interview.

Please note: IPS also has a regional offices in Liverpool but your interview will not be in the regional office. The interview will be held in the dedicated office in Nations House.

By road
By rail

Liverpool Lime Street station and Liverpool Central stations are approximately 20 minutes walk from the office. You may prefer to either take a taxi - ask for the Passport Interview office in Edmund Street, or the local underground network can be joined at Lime Street, take a connection through to Moorfields Station which is 2 minutes walk from the interview office in Edmund Street.

By Bus

The main bus route is on Dale Street, 3 minutes walk from office. Most buses travelling through the city centre use this route. From the Town Hall cross Dale Street and walk down Exchange Street East. At the end turn left onto Chapel Street and walk to the traffic lights. Cross over and walk along Old Hall Street. By ferry

The ferry terminal is approximately fifteen minutes walk to the interview office. From the terminal head towards The Strand and cross into Chapel Street. Walk up Chapel Street, take the first left into Rumford Place and follow the road round to the right onto Union Street. Continue straight over Old Hall Street into Edmund Street. On foot

Directions are complicated - Maps are available from Lime Street, Central or Moorfields stations. Moorfields underground station is a 2 minute walk away to the Liverpool office in Edmund Street. Both Lime Street train station and Liverpool central train station are 20 minutes walk away. The main bus route is on Dale Street. 3 minutes walk from office.

The main entrance to the interview office is from Edmund Street. There is a wheelchair lift and steps at the main entrance up to concierge controlled foyer. Use the Intercom on main door to gain entrance to the building and request assistance, if required.

Parking facilities

The nearest NCP car parks are on Newquay and Pall Mall. Newquay is a multi story car park with 1050 spaces and is the larger car park. Pall Mall is an open air car park and usually has spaces during the day, and is a 2 minute walk to the office.

Office facilities

The interview office receptionist has a close circuit TV intercom phone to let applicants into the building main entrance. Public toilets, including a disabled toilet, can be found in the lobby area outside office doors and lift.
