On 11 November 2007, the Libyan authorities re-imposed a requirement for all travellers entering and exiting the country to have an Arabic transcript of their passport’s details page printed in their passports.
IPS will add a stamp providing blank fields in Arabic that will need to be completed in this language. Customers should also contact the Libyan Embassy to enquire about acceptable translation services for the inclusion of the passport holder’s information within this stamp.
UK passport holders should contact the Passport Adviceline to find out more about how they can apply to have the stamp included in their passport by calling 0300 222 0000.
