National Identity Scheme Strategic Supplier Framework Procurement

The five suppliers chosen to work with the Identity and Passport Service to deliver the National Identity Scheme (NIS) have been named.

CSC, EDS, Fujitsu, IBM, and Thales have been invited to sign framework contracts and form a Strategic Supplier Group for the scheme.

The Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) stage of the National Identity Scheme Strategic Supplier Framework procurement has now concluded. Following receipt of eleven responses to the advert an evaluation was conducted.  The output of this process is that the following companies will be invited to participate in Competitive Dialogue with IPS over the coming months prior to seeking final tenders for the framework arrangement:

Accenture; BAE Systems; CSC; EDS; Fujitsu; IBM; Steria; and Thales

On 14 September the National Identity Scheme bidders' conference was held.  This was an opportunity for suppliers who registered an interest in bidding for the National Identity Scheme Strategic Supplier Framework to understand more about the opportunity and the procurement process.

National Identity Scheme Strategic Supplier Framework

The Identity and Passport Service has published an advertisement for the procurement of a framework arrangement to provide capabilities to support the National Identity Scheme.

The procurement approach will select a small group of the best suppliers in the market for the required services. These suppliers will work with IPS and its partner agencies to deliver capabilities for the Scheme.

Interested suppliers should refer to the Home Office e-sourcing portal where the advertisement is listed under 'view current opportunities'. The advertisement will shortly appear in the Official Journal of the European Union here Official Journal Website.
